We’re excited to announce the launch of the Emberware Archive - a preservation effort bringing the consoles and games of Emberware to modern systems.
What is Emberware?
Emberware was a small hardware company that produced game consoles. Their hardware found a small but dedicated audience. After the company closed, their consoles became obscure — traded among collectors, preserved by enthusiasts.
The Emberware Archive is working to change that.
What We’re Building
- Accurate emulation of Emberware hardware on Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Modern enhancements including rollback netcode for online multiplayer
- A growing game library of original and new titles
- Open source tools for creating new games for this hardware
